Why I Created Mamu: Style That Starts With You

Let’s be honest, we’ve all been there. That moment at the end of the day when you peel off the "outside world" and slip into something… less than inspiring. A stretched-out tee from yester-years. Pyjama pants that have survived more breakups than your best friend. Cosy? Maybe. Cute? Not quite.

That’s where Mamu began.

Hi I'm Barbara, founder of Mamu and former Buying Director at Marks and Spencer, Jigsaw and The White Company. For years, I searched for restwear that felt as good as it looked, something I could wear during those sacred me-time hours without feeling like I’d given up on style. I wanted to lounge without looking unstyled. And I knew I wasn’t alone.

Mamu was born from that simple truth: you deserve to feel beautiful even when no one’s watching.

Rest is not a reward. It's a right. And what you wear in your off-hours should reflect the same elegance and confidence you wear out in the world.
