Is It Loungewear or Restwear? (Spoiler: It’s Restwear)

Let’s settle this once and for all: is it loungewear… or is it restwear?

They may sound similar, but they are not the same thing.
Loungewear is what you throw on.
Restwear is what you deserve to sink into.

Loungewear is everywhere and don’t get me wrong, there’s a time and place for a big hoodie and yesterday’s joggers. But restwear? That’s an intentional mindset.

Restwear says:
" I choose myself right now."
" I’m not rushing."
" I deserve to feel this good, even if I don’t leave the house."

Restwear is not about dressing down. It’s about dressing in. Dressing inward. For the you that exists when the emails stop, the makeup’s off, and the world can wait.

Here’s what makes Mamu restwear and not just another set of ‘nice’ pyjamas:

1. Fabric that Feels Like a Second Skin
We don’t do stiff, scratchy, or restrictive. Our signature modal jersey, stretch cotton, brushed cotton, silk and alpaca blends are all chosen for one reason: they love your body back. No awkward seams. No digging waistbands. No creeping into places it shouldn't. You know that ahh feeling? That’s restwear.

2. Design That Loves the Pause
Restwear is built for stillness and for slow, sacred movement. Whether you’re curled up with tea, doing a little morning journaling, or stretching like a cat before bed, every Mamu piece is designed to support the in-between moments we tend to rush through. (PS: it still looks fabulous if you answer the door in it.)

3. Style That Feels Like You
From our Grey Soft Modal Pyjama Set with its gentle hug of stretch, to the Marine Blue Cashmere Joggers that you’ll wear on rotation, restwear is style without effort. Think polished without pressure and ease with just a touch of elegance. Because you don’t stop being fabulous when you take your bra off. (In fact, you might be even more so.)

At Mamu, we don’t just make clothes for staying in. We make clothes for coming home and still feeling good in.

So next time you ask, "Is it loungewear or restwear?" Remember this: If it’s soft, intentional, empowering, and makes you want to cancel plans just to wear it longer, it’s restwear.

And it’s absolutely Mamu.

With love,
